Treat The Womenfolk With Civility

We live in a world where racism and discrimination are familiar, a community that usually frowns upon the victims of abuse rather than the monsters who cause the abuse. We live amongst people who think that women are inferior to men and, therefore, deserve to be treated with esteem and dignity. We live in a society where male children are celebrated upon birth, while female children are lamented.

NICOLA STEEL wrote the book “ Discover Your Destiny, Live Your Dreams, Love Your Life"

to remind every woman that she needs to regain her self-worth and self-confidence. She is a woman who has gone through a lot, from racism to discrimination; she has experienced it all. And she knows that almost every woman of the present day has gone through something similar, or unfortunately, something even worse. This book is for every woman who has been a victim of discrimination and oppression and every person who thinks women are mediocre in any way. Every woman is a queen, and she matters!

For a very extended time now, women have been demoralized and subjugated. They have made sacrifices of their dreams and themselves for the advancement of the world, yet we somehow fail to recognize and value them for their vigorous efforts and hard work.

In many cultures, women are compelled to be dependent on the ‘man of the house.’ They are constrained to stay at home, doing the household chores and looking after the kids. In many societies, women are forced to marry by their parents’ choice, no matter how badly they are in love with another person. They are usually not given the free will to decide how their life goes on. In many cultures, sexually abused women are considered to be a liability and burden on the house. They are not encouraged to stand up against (or even point out) the abuse, and when (and if) they do, they are judged as a woman who lost her civility and dignity. They are compelled to sit at home and not do anything about the predator, no matter how many more females he will do the same thing too. What next? The suffering women stay at home, with their own thoughts and sorrows, overthinking. They are an effortless target for the claws of mental illness such as depression, anxiety, and stress. They might end up harming their own selves, and do you know whose fault is that? The society we live in.

We need to respect our women. We need to take care of them and support them in their ambitions and when they experience a setback. Instead of disrespecting them after they go through any kind of abuse, we need to treat them with even more attention and care, and affection because abuse is something that could easily break the strongest of us. We need to appreciate their hard work and tireless efforts, and listen to them when they present an idea, instead of neglecting them like they don’t matter – because they matter! That is what women empowerment is about.
